BMCC’s 12 September 2025 public statement expressing deep regret at the Legislative Council’s rejection of the Same-Sex Partnership Registration Bill — which would have implemented the Court of Final Appeal’s 2023 ruling in Sham Tsz-Kit v Secretary for Justice. The Board calls for renewed constitutional response, anti-discrimination education, and a system that protects every committed, family-building partnership.
