Jason Ho on Genesis 1:3 (‘let there be light’) and Matthew 6:22-23 (the eye is the lamp of the body). The light God speaks into the void is the same light that wants to shine in us — and the orientation of our seeing shapes whether we host that light or shut it out.

Lead pastor on Ephesians 4:10-16. Christ ascended and gave gifts to his body — apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, teachers — that we might grow into the full stature of Christ. Every gift, every member, every act of service: it’s all Jesus, building us into himself.

Frankie Ng on Exodus 12:1-14 — the Passover and the prefiguring of Christ. The blood on the doorpost, the unleavened bread, the haste of the meal — all point forward to the Lamb of God. In every memorial, it is Jesus we encounter.

Mr. Wong Tin-sang on John 21:1-14. After the crucifixion the disciples return to fishing — to old patterns, to disappointment. The risen Christ meets them on the shore, calls them to cast again, fills the empty net. Courage to set out anew is born in the encounter with Christ.

Lead pastor on 2 Timothy 1:1-8, Ephesians 4:2, and 1 Peter 2:21. Christian perseverance is not the absence of mistakes but the choice to keep walking through them. Faith is forged in failure as much as in faithfulness, and Christ’s example is to bear with one another in love.

Lead pastor on 2 Timothy 1:1-8. Paul writes from prison to Timothy: do not be ashamed of the gospel, do not abandon the race. The Spirit God gave us is not of fear but of power, love, and self-discipline. Keep running.

Rev. Ngeo Boon Lin on Matthew 4:1-11. The wilderness temptations of Jesus expose three primal hungers — for bread, for spectacle, for power. To face temptation rightly is to know yourself: where you crave, where you reach, and where Christ’s no becomes your own.

Jason Ho on Mark 9:5-6, the Transfiguration. Peter wants to build three booths — to fix the moment, to stay. But the new way is descent: down the mountain into ordinary life, where the glory carried within meets the suffering of the world.

Lead pastor on Hebrews 4:16 — ‘let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace.’ The believer’s boldness is not arrogance but the assurance of a high priest who has known our weakness. Come to receive mercy. Come to find grace in time of need.

Lead pastor on Acts 10:34-48 — Peter’s encounter with Cornelius. ‘God shows no partiality.’ The Christian’s true pride is not in birth, status, or tradition but in this: that God’s welcome extends to every people, every body, every life.
