BMCC’s Gender Diversity Workshop Series, funded by the Equal Opportunities (Sexual Orientation) Funding Scheme. Four batches of three-session workshops led by Dr. Jason Ho (HKU Faculty of Education), centred on interactive activities, role-play, and forum theatre. Topics include the challenges social ideologies pose to sexual minorities; participants deepen their understanding of diversity, equality, and civil society.

BMCC at the 2017 Hong Kong Pride Parade — Saturday, 25 November, from Victoria Park to Edinburgh Place. The theme: ‘Turn the Wind, Shift the Position — Bid Discrimination Farewell.’ BMCC calls on the government to enact sexual orientation discrimination protection and a gender recognition scheme without surgical preconditions.

BMCC’s 2017 World AIDS Day action — Friday 1 December 2017, 7:30 p.m. at the Flagpole Promenade, Tsim Sha Tsui. Fear comes from ignorance; this World AIDS Day, BMCC offered Free Hugs to convey love and care to everyone who could be exposed to HIV — that is, to you and to me.

The 2017 Hong Kong government public consultation on whether to establish a Gender Recognition Scheme — including eligibility criteria and procedures. BMCC participated through a series of talks during the consultation period and called publicly for opposing surgical preconditions for gender recognition. Submission channels and reference materials are provided.

BMCC’s 25th anniversary ‘I Have a Story’ exhibition (12 August – 1 September 2017, KUC Space). Through text, photos, and objects, the exhibition tells the lesser-known stories of BMCC’s twenty-five years — including the pressures behind the 1996 Apple Daily headline ‘Christians Establish BMCC.’ Founder Michael Lai is honoured.
