A letter from BMCC’s 2023 Growth Course 301 ‘Fireman’ group, reflecting on Psalm 78:14 (the cloud and fire that led Israel through the wilderness). As LGBTQ+ Christians pushed to the edge of the edge, the group has found in BMCC a small home, learned to read ‘sin’ as separation from belonging (Marcus Borg), and seeks to walk by love and justice — like wind and fire — out of the wilderness.
