Lead pastor and Ken Hui on 1 Thessalonians 3:12 — love that increases and abounds toward all. In a world where HIV-positive people still face stigma and discrimination, the church is called to be a community of acceptance, walking-with, and mutual support.

Shirley Lam on 1 Peter 5:5. The ‘do-as-told-without-asking’ obedience inherited from church-school culture is anti-intellectual and suppresses thought. The Greek words rendered ‘submit’ carry rich meanings; passages telling women or slaves to submit need careful contextual re-reading rather than uncritical inheritance.

Lead pastor on Acts 20:35 — ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ In the world’s logic this is absurd, but in the spiritual one it is exact. Sunday afternoon worship is itself an offering: what we bring is not animals but our whole lives.

Lead pastor on Matthew 24:8, 23-26. In the end times, false messiahs and false prophets will rise. True following is not proven by signs and wonders but by the witness of love and justice. Discerning truth in a turbulent age requires faith deeply rooted in the Lord.

Lead pastor on John 3:16. In the tension between ‘perish’ and ‘eternal life,’ ‘love’ and ‘justice,’ a new horizon of life emerges. BMCC, Pink Dot, Amplify, GSKL in Malaysia — all are movements born from polarities. Armed with God’s love, we can step into the new possibilities.

Yifei on Matthew 26:26-30 — after the Last Supper, on the way to the cross, Jesus and his disciples sing a hymn. The Bible does not record which one. In our own seasons of darkness — sing, hum, run, dance, shout — any way of bringing our most truthful selves to the Lord. That is what worship in the dark means.
